Apps built from your ideas
Describe the app you wish existed. If people back it, we build it, and you own a share.
Ideabacked turns ideas into real App Store apps. The community votes and backs them with USDC, the Pirog studio builds in public, and the author, the backers and the testers hold a share of the app's income, paid monthly and recorded on-chain.
How it works
Six steps from a sentence to a share
Submit
A specific idea: who it's for, the problem, how it works, what's different. Its hash and time are anchored on Base under your name.
Vote and pledge
Votes are free. Pledges are USDC you can take back any time. 100 votes or $250 pledged sends the idea to review.
Review
The studio writes a brief and checks store rules, licensed content and clone categories. Declines come with the reason.
Fund
30 days, a $1,500 goal, $150 per wallet. Reached: the build starts. Missed: everyone gets a full refund.
Build in the open
Progress shows up live: how many commits today, when the last TestFlight build went out, every status change. The code itself stays private. Testers earn a share from the community pool.
Earn
On release day the app's token is minted to everyone who holds a share. Every month, net income goes to a distributor contract and each holder claims their part in USDC.

Ownership
A share that a contract enforces, not a promise
Who owns each app
Monthly payout = net proceeds − refunds − ads, in USDC, to every holder. Ads are capped at 50% of revenue unless holders agree.
What the studio can't do
- Mint more tokens. Supply is fixed at launch.
- Change the payout formula alone. It takes a majority of non-studio tokens plus the studio's signature.
- Pull liquidity. The pool's LP tokens are burned.
- Sell its share early. 70% vests over 36 months in a public contract.
- Keep sale proceeds. If an app is sold, 100% goes through the distributor.
Built by Pirog
The builder already ships
Ideabacked ideas are built by the Pirog mobile studio: seven apps live on the App Store, a new one roughly every week, and a market radar that scans the charts every night and feeds this board.
Questions
Before you back anything
What exactly do I get for backing an idea?
A share of the app's token, pro-rata to what you put in. Backers as a group hold 20% of each app. Tokens are minted the day the app goes live on the App Store, and from then on you claim your part of every monthly distribution in USDC.
When does the money start?
Apple pays developers 33–45 days after the end of a month, so month M is distributed in M+2. Every report shows net proceeds, refunds, ad spend, what was reported and what was deposited, side by side.
What if the goal isn't reached, or the app never ships?
Goal missed: everyone gets a full refund from the escrow contract. Goal reached but no release within 180 days: the unspent part is refundable.
Can I sell my share?
Yes. Each app's token trades on a DEX on Base with liquidity that is locked forever. Most apps earn little; the board leads with payouts, not price, for a reason.
Why on-chain at all?
So the share is yours, not a row in our database: the cap table, the escrow, the payouts and the rules live in contracts the studio cannot edit alone. The apps themselves never mention tokens, and holders never review apps in any store.
Got an app in your head?
Three ideas per month per person. Be specific: vague ideas don't get a share.
